Styled Shoot: Sunkissed Peach

What’s the wedding style forecast for summer? Sweet, citrus-hued and full of light. Feat. the lake, of course.

This week’s styled shoot is a warm-weather journey full of the smell of fresh peaches and a balmy breeze on your skin. It’s a study in modern softness and crisp simplicity. Refreshing, romantic, and taking nature as its guide, the look is unfussy and vibrant, but still elevated. This is the kind of wedding where you might slip off your shoes to dance in the moonlight, after you’ve had your fill of peach pie, of course.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: The invitation suite is your guests’ first peek at the style of your wedding. Sure it relays important information about date, time and location, but it also points to the spirit and personality of your wedding. In this case, paper goddess katie makes has designed a package full of peaches so compelling you can practically taste them.

With a paper suite this lovely, the flowers have to follow suit. And they do, presenting in a modern cascade of anemone and peach ranunculus, with greenery springing out here and there for a loose, fresh-from-the-garden look.
We love this genius necklace-slash-lapel pin that stretches a simple chain between two small, buttery-colored ranunculus. It’s living jewelry, and it looks divine against the bride’s crisp shirt from A.K. RIKK’S.

Venue Bay Pointe Inn is perfectly poised on the lake, a position our shoot took full advantage of. Here a white arch frames out the scene, buoyed by florals and greenery that echo those in the bride’s bouquet. The light off the lake filters beautifully through a dress from Renee Austin-Boutique, making for an ethereal yet polished vision. And check out that peachy shimmer on the bride’s lids, courtesy of Launch Salon.

When it’s time to dine, guests find themselves feasting lakeside under a covered pavilion. A gracious sign from By Ky welcomes all to the cozy seating area with an expansive view of the lake. The bridal table is topped with a nest of flowers and complemented by fresh-cut peaches, the fragrance of which floats on the breeze.

Tables are topped with clean, muted linens from Sitting Pretty that also provide a touch of shimmer and bounce around the light. Simple votive candles illuminate the peach-filled centerpieces, the plating, and especially those menus, which are accompanied by a slice and a charming message.

When it’s time to dive into dessert, Rise Authentic Baking Co. has served up—what else?—a peach-forward buffet. The amiable fruit is baked into pies, piled high in the bow,l and joined by tempting pastries. It’s a sweet ending to an even sweeter day.
